Dr. Catherine Browne, DAOM, L.Ac, MSOM is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, and is one of only a handful of licensed acupuncturist who have a doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine in North Carolina.
With 20 years of experience in acupuncture Dr Browne has found passion in the more complicated issues her clients faces( pain management,post-surgery) with her knowledge and expertise she has had many success treating her clients from minor(lower back pain) to major pain related issues(psoriatic or rheumatoid arthritis). She is also a firm believer in allowing the body to heal on its own and by applying the use of acupuncture and herbs to assist with pain reduction without highly addictive pain killers (see her book: Kick Your Opiod Dependency Naturally)
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Browne is busy helping her husband remodel a hundred-year-old- barn on her property in Yadkin county; presently she is busy carrying out the old pieces of wood that are being stacked and will be re-purposed. She is not new to the concepts of “re-purposing” and of the “green movement” as she spent sixteen years as an organic herb farmer beginning in 1983. While her farming days are behind her, she still makes custom Chinese herb formulas for her patients out of certified organic herbs.
